A GiftPuzzles puzzle is
a unique puzzle presented in a personalised greetings card.
You choose the card design and the type of puzzle, and we create a completely
individual puzzle for your friend or relative.
All our puzzles are created by professional crossword compilers. Our parent
company, boxedBRAND has supplied thousands of puzzles for book publishers
including Random House and magazine publishers including BBC Magazines.
It's a genuinely bespoke service. We use computers to help us compile the
crosswords. But it takes time, patience and a lot of trial-and-error to get
to the finished product. And sometimes it simply doesn't work – you
can try all you like but some words just won't fit. So in these cases we get
back to the customer and discuss alternative words.
We offer three types of puzzle:

Quick Crosswords are also known as "teatime crosswords"
or "easy crosswords". They are formed on a 13x13 symmetrical grid.
Numbers on the grid correspond to clues that are either definitions or synonyms
of the words to be found.

Codewords are also known as "code breakers","code
crackers", "clueless crosswords" or "alpha puzzles".
They are formed on a 13x13 symmetrical grid. Each number on the grid represents
a letter of the alphabet. The puzzle is solved by logical deduction, and knowledge
of English vocabulary.

Cryptic Crosswords are formed on a 15x15 symmetrical grid.
Numbers on the grid correspond to cryptic clues.
Cryptic crosswords offer a greater challenge to the puzzle enthusiast. We
are often asked about the difficulty level of our cryptic crosswords. This
is obviously a subjective assessment, but we endeavour to make the clues puzzling
but not impossible. We aim somewhere between the London Evening Standard and
The Observer "Everyman".
